Gc united kick start the new year with a visit to radio lollipop gold coast

Gold Coast United players Mitch Beven, Neko Vujevich and Chris Harold kicked off the New Year with a visit to Radio Lollipop Gold Coast on Monday 9th January. It was their first time visiting the ward with the Gold Coast United Football Club’s monthly visit arrangement with Radio Lollipop.

The boys had a great time on the ward chatting to the kids, playing table tennis, foosball and visiting children who were bedridden. One young boy, Josh, was a big soccer fan so he was delighted in getting a signed GC United poster and photos with the players. Little Caitlin was also very happy to meet the players and get photos with them for her dad who was a big fan of the club.

The boys thoroughly enjoyed the visit and said they felt like they were kids again sitting down playing games, playing table tennis and even doing some crafts and painting. They were fabulous on the wards and there were smiles all round as they chatted to the kids. Thank you so much to Gold Coast United for being so committed to putting smiles on children’s faces at Gold Coast Hospital. We look forward to next month’s visit.
