Your support is very much appreciated on behalf of the children.
Due for completion in Spring 2010, the new £100m childrens hospital will offer the very highest level of care to all youngsters, from toddlers to teenagers. Part of the ongoing transformation of the Newcastle Hospitals, this stunning building will be a beacon of excellence for the treatment of children in the North East and beyond.
With its circular, copper-clad exterior the building is sure to be as iconic a landmark as the Tyne Bridge and its neighbour, St James Park. Inside, the hospital is equally dramatic with its spectacular six-storey central atrium, coloured, curved corridors and multicoloured windows combining to create a real sense of space and light.
