Radio lollipop edinburgh benefits from clydesdale bank £1 note!

Radio Lollipop Edinburgh has received £1500 of funds from Clydesdale Bank. Volunteer Elaine Craig is an employee of the bank and gave a presentation to her colleagues about the work of the charity in order to secure part of the cash raised during the auction of rare banknotes.

A Scottish £1 banknote from 1836, sold for a world record price of £9,000. The auction also included collectable notes from a series of new World Heritage designs as well as historic notes and raised £112,830.

The funds are being used to help over 70 charities including Radio Lollipop.
