Norman park state school visit radio lollipop mater

Last night six students from the Norman Park State School along with Chaplain Amy Fitzgerald came into the Radio Lollipop studio at the Mater Children’s Hospital to check out the studio and see how their school project has made a difference to sick children in hospital.

Last semester 20 students from Grade 4 – 7 took on a project of designing and creating craft examples to go into the 30 different nightly theme boxes used by the volunteers at the Mater Children’s Hospital.

In addition they also created activity books for children aged under 8 years and a different activity book for children aged over 8 years which is also available for the volunteers to leave with the children at the end of the night.

The theme last night was ‘Summer’ and the student and volunteers dressed up in the theme, check them out wearing their summer sunglasses. All the children had an opportunity to help compare the Summer radio show last night.
