Bristol radio lollipop volunteer and dj john goss successfully completes the 2009 ‘pop putt rally!

To mark Radio Lollipop Bristol’s 25th Birthday, volunteer DJ John Goss travelled from Lands End to John O’Groats over 2 weeks, attempting to play Crazy Golf at over 25 different courses (1 for every year of Bristol Radio Lollipop, plus a bonus 5 courses for Radio Lollipop International’s 30th birthday). He hoped to raise sponsorship money along the way for the charity, which provides music and play to children in Hospital in Bristol and all over the world.

John actually managed to play 40 Crazy Golf courses in 13 days (over 3 a day), visit all the Radio Lollipop Hospitals in the UK along the way, and raise over £300 sponsorship! Thanks to all the hospitals and volunteers that played, aided and assisted him! It was such a success that he hopes to repeat the challenge in the future.

Sponsorship money will provide essential play materials and radio studio equipment for the children at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
