Uniform free day – thank-you

This year’s Uniform Free Day was another great success for Radio Lollipop Perth. While the figures are still being collected as the last donations trickle in, it is estimated that an excess of $62,000 AUD was raised on Wednesday 19th March 2008.

Each year the Transperth bus drivers get into the spirit of having fun with Radio Lollipop and dress-up in fancy dress costumes and collect donations from passengers. This year we had scary witches, wizards, pirates and many other characters.
Lots of local schools came on board this year and helped in the city mall to collect donations from morning workers.

Transperth also transformed one of their buses and have the entire outside painted and decorated to support Radio Lollipop and Uniform Free Day. This year the slogan “Helping to Entertain the World” was across one side of the bus with our Logo and this year’s theme.

A BIG thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this day especially Transperth who have supported this event for the past 12 years.
