Wow, we get to rub shoulders with some amazing people at Radio Lollipop!
The corridors and play room at Monash Children’s hospital were buzzing with excitement on Wednesday as top Formula 1 Driver Jensen Button took time out of his busy pre-race schedule to do a little charity work. The sick kids drew and coloured in some very groovy fast cars and posed some tough questions like “why do you drive so fast?”
Jenson was at Monash representing the Vodafone Foundation who are supporting Radio Lollipop in our work to establish a brand new Radio Lollipop Station at Monash Children’s Hospital – the first in Victoria!
The Vodafone Foundation is a major supporter of Radio lollipop. Through their World Of Difference grant program they pay Bruce Uhlhorn for a whole year to work for his favourite charity – Radio Lollipop.
The whole event was arranged by the Vodafone Foundation and was a wonderful boost for the volunteer recruitment and fundraising efforts for the new Radio Lollipop service planned for Monash Children’s Hospital this year.
