On Wednesday 18th December, Radio Lollipop Bristol held its first music festival, raising £191.
Held at the infamous Thunderbolt music venue, Lollistock 2013 featured local bands and artists who all came together to play for one night only.
The first act on stage was Lollipop’s very own Richard O’Sullivan, who proved he can do more than just play the music live on air. Followed by Alex Taylor and Lauren & The Skylites, the show kept the audience singing and dancing with a full three hours of entertainment. Performing the final set was Lollipop advocate Sam Evans and his band playing acoustic melodies, covers and even a Christmas song. A rendition of ‘Dry your Eyes’, the Radio Lollipop charity single written and released by Ollie Garland, was performed by Richard O’Sullivan and Sam Evans to close the show with a bang.
On the night Radio Lollipop volunteers and a team from Lloyds TSB were on hand to collect ticket money, sell lollipops and shake buckets all to raise as much money as possible.
Lollistock 2013 proved that Radio Lollipop really does rock!
