Lisa Langford from Boogie Beat Music & Movement and Giggles the Boogie Beat Monkey visited the Radio Lollipop Bristol Studio on Wednesday 11th December to present a cheque to Kate and Mary from the Wacky Wednesday Team in the sum of £2,352.78!
This was the total amount raised following the epic Teddy Bears’ Picnic fundraising events which were held all across the UK this summer by the Boogie Beat Teams to raise funds and awareness of Radio Lollipop.
Boogie Beat Music & Movement classes are held all over the UK and involve energetic and fun sessions which combine music and movement based on traditional fairy tales and nursery rhymes with a lively and active dance twist.
They also run music and movement workshops in Primary Schools, Nurseries, Pre-Schools, Playgroups, Toddler groups and intergeneration workshops involving the whole community.
A lot of these groups were involved in the Teddy Bears’ Picnic events this summer.
A mahoosive Radio Lollipop “Thank You” to Lisa, Nicky and the Boogie Beat Franchisees in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales for your continued support, to all the people who helped with fundraising and to all the children who attended the events! You’re all lollipoptastic!
