Sibling creche receives musical welcome

Yorkhill Hospital’s Sibling Creche facility opened today in the playroom of Radio Lollipop in Glasgow.

A temporary home for the creche until a suitable facility can be built, the Radio Lollipop playroom seemed to be an obvious choice. The Creche Team and Radio Lollipop will be working closely together to incorporate theme weeks into both the Creche and Radio Lollipop programme of events.

Futher information on the Sibling Creche is available from Margaret McInnes, Voluntary Services Manager at Yorkhill NHS Trust. Phone: 0141 201 0000, email: margaret.mcinnes@yorkhill.scot.nhs.uk

Radio lollipop shows them how its done!

Local radio station Clyde 1 was more than happy to recieve a visit from three of Glasgow’s volunteers.

Lunchtime DJ Suzie McGuire was on hand to give an interview and an impromptu tour of the Radio Clyde studios! Thursday night presenter Andy Gray bombarded her with questions, but to his disappointment, he never managed to get her age out of her…but he’s made his own mind up on that one!

Offers have now come from other Clyde 1 DJs to interview them, and one has offered to visit the Radio Lollipop studio, so it looks like Clyde 1 may become a home-away-from-home for a few Glasgow volunteers!
