Santa, Crazy M and Jay the clowns and Radio Lollipop volunteers helped bring some festive cheer to the children and young adults at Southampton General Hospital.
This all happened during the Christmas ward parties on Monday 6th, Tuesday 7th and Thursday 9th December 2004.
The children were entertained by the Southampton station’s clown friends, Crazy M and Jay and then Santa gave out gifts to all the children. Santa’s little elves came in the shape of Radio Lollipop volunteers who escorted Santa around the wards and carried all the presents. They also got caught up in some crazy capers with the clowns.
The children of Bursledon House missed out on the clowns, however they were treated to a disco on the Thursday evening.
Santa then returned to the roof of the General Hospital where the reindeer were waiting and they all disappeared into the night sky on their return to Lapland!!
