Where do they find these people?

…at Radio Lollipop is the answer!

After months of keeping us in suspense, it was revealed at the weekend that Newcastle DJ Chris Felton did not make it through to the next stage of the X-Factor with his own dance interpretation of “From Pariis to Berlin” by Infernal.

Chris’s audition was shown on last week’s X-Factor at the end of a sequence about people who thought their dancing was good enough to take them through to the next round. Fans of the show will know that Chris’s dancing obviously wasn’t.

He did manage to get Sharon Osbourne to imitate his stylish moves and forced a “Where on Earth do they find these people?” comment from Louis Walsh after he left the room, but Simon Cowell just sat in stunned silence.

Chris said of his audition
“I’m really really chuffed that they showed it! I hope you all saw it! Something to talk about in our future shows eh? I’m really really pleased, and slightly shocked at the same time – I only auditioned for a joke! Maybe I should release the single to raise money for Radio Lollipop!”

Well, we thought Chris’s dancing was superb…it’s only a pity no-one told him it was a SINGING competition.

Coming soon to a Radio Lollipop Christmas party near you!

Volunteers meeting – 3 august 2006

On 3 August 2006 Radio Lollipop Mater and Logan held a Volunteer Meeting. These meetings are held three times each year and it is a great opportunity for all volunteers to get together and meet other volunteers from other nights.

It is important that all volunteers have the opportunity to have input into the business planning for Radio Lollipop Mater and Logan. During the volunteer meeting, brainstorming sessions are held and the ideas gathered are used in developing our business plan.

Volunteer awards are also presented at these meetings. Radio Lollipop Program Controller Kyla Brown (right) presents Volunteer and Honorary Fundraising Co-ordinator Amanda Dearlove (left) with her Radio Lollipop Announcer Certificate.
