Aegon UK recently held a special Dress Down Day in aid of Radio Lollipop. A fantastic £650 was raised by the company which will be put towards the continuing service of Radio Lollipop at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.

Aegon UK is part of one of the world’s largest life insurance and pension groups. The company strives to be part of the communities it operates in which involves financially supporting good causes such as Radio Lollipop.

All of the volunteers at Radio Lollipop would like thank Aegon UK for their support.

There are just a few tickets left for the annual Radio Lollipop (Edinburgh) Black Tie Ball which is taking place on Friday 3rd October at the Roxburghe Hotel, Charlotte Square, Edinburgh. Tickets cost £50 and the event will include a champagne reception, three course meal and entertainment.

Forth One DJ Iain Waugh will compère the Ball which is being sponsored by jmarchitects, www.jmarchitects.net There will also be lots of Lollipop fun throughout the night including a raffle and auction. Some fabulous prizes have been donated for the event which are sure to raise some serious funds for the charity. Last night the Manic Monday Team welcomed the ‘Kat’ from Lollipops Playland at Cannon Hill for a very special visit on the wards.

Kat attracted lots of giggles and also some shocked looks as we wandered the hallways of the wards. The children were very excited as they received an activity book and sticker from the Kat. There were also many cuddles and a few photos taken as another keepsake from this visit.

Radio Lollipop Queensland run a monthly prize competition where every night that a child participates in our Radio Lollipop program they get a free entry into our monthly prize competition and are able to win a family pass. They can enter as many nights as they are in hospital but can only enter once each night. Recently, Lollipops Playland at Cannon Hill donated 3 family passes for the competition.

Our thanks go out to Paul, Kathy and the team at Lollipops Playland Cannon Hill for supporting Radio Lollipop by donating prizes for the monthly competition and for bringing Kat in to visit the children.
