The ‘Pop Putt Rally involved a Bristol Radio Lollipop volunteer attempting to fit in as many rounds of crazy/mini golf into a two week period to raise money for Radio Lollipop, a charity that provides music and play to children in Hospital all over the world.
Starting Saturday August 1st, to mark Radio Lollipop Bristols 25th Birthday, a Bristol Radio Lollipop volunteer and DJ John Goss travelled from Lands End in Cornwall to John OGroats in Scotland over 2 weeks. Over this time he aimed to play Crazy Golf at 25 different courses (1 for every year of Bristol Lollipop and if time allows a bonus 5 courses for Radio Lollipop Internationals 30th birthday) and get sponsorship money along the way. If each course was 18 holes, that’s 450 holes to be played in two weeks! John intended to pop in on all the Radio Lollipops of the UK on the way and challenge other volunteers to a game.
