Charlie’s angels do it again with another sausage sizzle on the gold coast at bunnings warehouse nerang store.

Apart from probably the best profile awareness so far for Radio Lollipop on the Gold Coast, our third Bunning’s sausage sizzle of the year brings in $1,735 making a total to date just from these sizzles of over $4,500 and we still have one to go in December.

Radio Lollipop Gold Coast volunteer turnout was extraordinary, and the professional display of balloons put together by our very talented and new Vice Chairman Kristy Samin, was more than impressive and could be seen from every angle approaching the store. There was so much fun over the day and every coming to Bunning’s went away knowing that Radio Lollipop was in town. Every child and quite a few adults took away one of our Radio Lollipop balloons, and the snag sandwich’s where simply the best on the Gold Coast.

We gratefully acknowledge the donation of soft drink and water from Coca Cola, and we’d also like to thank Graham Moody of QSafe S.P.S. Pty Ltd (Signs for Industry) at Waterford West, for his contribution which covered the cost of providing the bread. We’re very proud of our association with so many local businesses in South-east Queensland.

We sincerely thank Bunning’s Warehouse for their continued support of Radio Lollipop which has helped us grow so much over the last year. A special thanks goes out to Michelle, Tim and Kerry from the Nerang store, who helped organise the day and made us feel so welcome and helped us so much throughout the day. Bunning’s, we love you.

Hilton edinburgh grosvenor brings music to sick kids ears

The Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor have raised an amazing £1971.66 for Radio Lollipop. This money will be used to purchase all the music needed for the brand new radio studio which is currently being fitted at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

The cheque was presented to Radio Lollipop volunteers at the Radio Lollipop Wine Tasting event, organised by volunteer Alison Thompson. The Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor also generously provided the venue and refreshments at this event which was held in association with Woodwinters. Alison raised over £300 with the wine tasting event as well!

The volunteers at Edinburgh would like to express their thanks for the continued support of the Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor.

Learning: a piece of cake!

Learning maths, art and English is rarely as sweet as at the cake stall at City Beach Primary School last week.

Radio Lollipop (WA) Play Coordinator Melissa Mikulich, and fellow student teacher Ailsa Carruthers had Year 5 students costing recipes, measuring ingredients, managing cash sales as well as some basic advertising for the cake stall.

Honey joys, cupcakes and funny faces were snapped up by sweet-toothed staff and students and the sweetest result of the day was the $247 raised which will be donated to Radio Lollipop.

Thanks City Beach Primary School!
