Radio Lollipop set up shop at Meadowbank stadium as part of the Sick Kids Christmas Fair on 27th November. Selling lollipops and other goodies, volunteers aimed to raise some Christmas cash for Radio Lollipop Edinburgh.

The event had all things Christmassy and the money raised by other stalls will be used to support the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

Southampton’s waterfront was ablaze with colour at the weekend with it’s annual fireworks display organized by the Southampton Round Table. The display, the biggest of it’s kind in the city centre, attracts thousands each year and this year seemed busier than ever. Radio Lollipop was among a number of charities there to lend a hand to the hard working team at the round table and the Southampton station had sent it’s very best maths brains (!!) down to the event to help take ticket money on the gate. The early rain showers were not enough to dampen the spirits of the crowds who lined the shore in eager anticipation and the magnificent display was well worth the wait.

Radio Lollipop are extremely proud to announce that due to the enthusiasm and passion from all our supporters on the Gold Coast, our “Kid Day Out” extravaganza is back on and it is going to be bigger and better than originally planned before we were rained out.

We now have the pleasure and privilege of being able to hold the event at the prestigious site of the “Parklands” Parklands Drive off Smiths Street, Southport on Saturday 20th November from 10 am till 4 pm. The biggest event on the Gold Coast is about to hit the town and no one should miss out.

With the continuous support from all the local community we are so proud to be able to put on this our very special event for the children who have either been in hospital or are from the local communities around the Gold Coast. This massive event is also for friends, families and anyone wanting to come along on the day to give support to Radio Lollipop and all the volunteers who give up a lot of their spare time to provide care, comfort, play and entertainment to children in hospital every week of the year.

We welcome all our supporters, past, present and future, to come on down and join in the fun and laughter of the day.

Radio Lollipop in Newcastle celebrated Hallowe’en in style with the children on the wards in the Great North Children’s Hospital at the RVI this year. Witches, vampires, spiders and ghouls graced the wards to raise a smile with the children.

Parties organised by hospital play specialists were supplemented by Radio Lollipop’s brand of Hallowe’en fun and trick or treat activities between the children’s hospital rooms..
