Radio lollipop in company magazine

Our very own Jenny Spraggett graces the pages of the October issue of Company magazine!

Jenny was interviewed for an article about various young women who want to give back to the community. You can read all about it on p111, so why not check out a copy!

Jenny is a volunteer at Great Ormond Street Hospital and is also our Fundraising Co-ordinator.

Birmingham autumn fundraising

The Birmingham team enjoys a spot of fundraising at a local ASDA store. A good time was had by all and there were many happy ASDA shoppers who walked away with fabulous prizes after playing our ‘Pick A Ticket’ game! Roll up roll up – look out for our next fundraising event in Birmingham!

Gold coast benji celebrates his 8th birthday with radio lollipop queensland

Gold Coast Benji is an adorable puppy who brightens the lives of many through his generosity to charity.

Recently, Gold Coast Benji turned 8 years old and rather than receiving presents he was giving presents to others in need. Benji donated $100 for every year of his life to Radio Lollipop Queensland. The money donated is going towards buying art and craft supplies for the children to use on the wards every day.

Benji has been a regular visitor at Radio Lollipop at both the Mater Children’s Hospital (he joined us for our 20th birthday celebration) and Radio Lollipop on the Gold Coast at the Radio Lollipop Kids Day Out and more recently at the Radio Lollipop Stall at the Gold Coast Show.

Benji’s ongoing support to Radio Lollipop is greatly appreciated by the volunteers and the children. Thank you Benji!

Check out Benji on his birthday with the Wacky Wednesday Team.

Gold coast suns and sunny ray have a ball with the kids at radio lollipop gold coast

GC Sun’s AFL Player Nathan Ablett and mascot Sunny Ray had a ball with the children in the Paediatric Ward at Gold Coast Hospital last Monday night.

Nathan Ablett stood tall as he walked around the wards visiting the kids. He signed Gold Coast Suns gear the team brought in and he chatted to every child he visited on the wards.

Back in the Radio Lollipop Studio he had some fun painting a portrait of Sunny Ray and a self portrait on a balloon for another little patient.

Sunny Ray posed for a little boy to paint his portrait, and boy could he pose. He did about ten different poses and the little boy was in hysterics the whole time he was painting the picture.

We loved having the Gold Coast Suns boys visit the Radio Lollipop Studio and we hope to see them back very soon. Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy training schedule to cheer up the kids at Radio Lollipop at the Gold Coast Hospital.
