Radio Lollipop moves to Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane

The Brisbane Radio Lollipop team are excited to welcome the children of the new Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital into our new digital studio. We’re excited to be lighting up Level 6 with our flashy, colour changing studio and with the smiles of the children as they listen, dance and sing along to their favourite songs.

A big thumbs up to our friends at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital who gave us the opportunity to greet the children with balloons and go live to air from day one (check out the bunches of balloons we were giving away). Channel Nine even chatted to our very first song requester and helped us spread the word on the local news.

Frozen Fun at Radio Lollipop Bristol

Saturday 13 December 2014 was Radio Lollipop Bristol’s Frozen themed Christmas Giveaway!  Elsa and Olaf came to the party to help give out Christmas Goody Bags and Lollipops to all the children at the Bristol Children’s Hospital.

DJ Geminem hosted a special Christmas/Frozen themed show in the Radio Lollipop studio with the help of Andrew and Christmas Elf Lynne and Hobble the Bear!

Lolli Vollie Kirstine joined in the fun too, helping Olaf and Elsa as they did a tour of the hospital, visiting children on the wards.

There were lots of Frozen themed and Christmas activities in the Play Room too and we had lots of excited children who came along to the party and enjoyed the Frozen fun!

Merry Christmas everyone from the team at Radio Lollipop Bristol.

Radio Lollipop at Bristol Treefest

Radio Lollipop Bristol were proud to have their very own themed tree at this year’s Bristol Treefest.  The tree, decorated with baubles made by children from the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children who visited Radio Lollipop over the past few weeks and took part in Christmas arts and crafts activities, showcased how Radio Lollipop forms a major part of the life of the city.

Treefest took place at St Mary Redcliffe Church, Bristol from 9-13 December 2014 and featured a range of approximately 90 trees all chosen and decorated by local businesses, schools, communities and charities.

The festival was free for all to enjoy and a number of visitors were expected to attend.

DJ Geminem is featured in the photograph next to our fabulous tree!
