Radio Lollipop Gold Coast wins Grill’d stores’ Local Matters initiative

Radio Lollipop Gold Coast has received amazing support from two Grill’d store locations, at Robina Town Shopping Centre and Harbour Town in Biggera Waters, Gold Coast.

Radio Lollipop was one of the entrants in the Grill’d “Local Matters” initiative, where customers are given a token to nominate the charity they’d like to see receive the top donation of $300 at the end of each month. Second and third place each receive a $100 donation. With the help of the local community, Radio Lollipop Gold Coast were voted into first place at Robina Town Shopping Centre, while placing a close second at the Harbour Town store.

 

Both Grill’d stores have shown extraordinary generosity, with the Robina location donating boxes of colouring-in pencils to put in Radio Lollipop welcome packs, and Harbour Town offering their help by donating onions for the fundraising Bunning’s BBQs.

Combined with the prize money, the Gold Coast team will now have more to put towards creating a WOW-experience for every child admitted into hospital.

Sheppard visit Radio Lollipop at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane

We had an extraordinary Radio Lollipop show in Brisbane this week with the talented band Sheppard surprising the children with an amazing live performance!

The children were excited to be singing along to popular favourites like Geronimo, as well as meet the band and get autographs! See the smiles on the faces of Zac and Xander who had their picture taken Sheppard and Xavier - 5 May 2015and received an autograph from the band.

The band even made time to visit some of the children on the wards that couldn’t make the show.

Thank you Sheppard for making this event about the Children, you really created very special memories for the sick children and their families at Lady Cilento Hospital!
