On Sunday 30 August, volunteers from Radio Lollipop Mater and Logan joined forces to take on the 2009 Bridge to Brisbane fun run.

Over 41,000 people sacrificed their Sunday sleep-in to raise money for the Heart Foundation by walking or running the 10k or 5k course.

Radio Lollipop stood out from the crowd by dressing up in their favourite clown wigs, fairy wings, and glitter hats! Our volunteers did what they do best, putting smiles on kids faces as they handed out Radio Lollipop balloons and stickers along the way.

Our very own Honorary Press and Public Relations Co-ordinator Melissa Dixon and Honorary Secretary Annette Wylde led the challenge in promoting our cause. Melissa and Annette had many photos taken and Melissa was lucky to be captured by the Brisbane Courier Mail photographer. Check her out!
