It was a typically beautiful Brisbane morning for this year’s annual Mater Hospital’s 5K’s for Kids annual fundraising event. Radio Lollipop volunteers were invited again this year to help support the Mater Little Miracles fun run by blowing up and handing out balloons.

Miss Lollipop (Aka volunteer Rachel Neden) was invited as a special guest again this year and was a great hit with children and adults alike! Everyone wanted their photo taken with Miss Lollipop even Batman and Robin from Australia’s Movie World had their photo taken with Miss Lollipop.

The atmosphere was fantastic as the Southbank Parklands filled with over 3,000 families, local celebrities and lots of balloons!! The Radio Lollipop volunteers were out in force handing out balloons and chatting with the children!

Everyone had a great time and it was a great opportunity for Radio Lollipop to give back to the hospital which provides tremendous support to us.
