For many years Radio Lollipop has supported the Mater Children’s Hospital 5Ks for Kids charity fundraising walk.

This year was no exception with Radio Lollipop Mater and Logan Chairperson Jennifer Grant, Treasurer Anne Schmiede and volunteers Rose Kehoe, Sana Khan, Sandra Ursino, Rachel Neden and their partners and friends woke early on a Sunday morning and braved the very cool (well cool for Brisbane anyway) temperatures to blow up thousands of helium balloons on behalf of the Mater Foundation and give them out to the children and their families.

As usual Miss Lollipop (Aka Rachel Neden) was a huge hit with the children posing for many photo’s not only with children, but, with tourists on holidays in Brisbane. Batman and Robin from Movie World were also at the event and persuaded Miss Lollipop to have her photo taken with them too, check out the photo.

The sea of brightly coloured balloons given out by Miss Lollipop and all the Radio Lollipop volunteers was a spectacular sight along the 5 km Brisbane river walk.
