One of the many new initiatives from Radio Lollipop Australia is the introduction of Radio Lollipop meal tray and activity mats. With generous support from the catering department at the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, the meal tray and activity mats are used on the evening meal trays every night throughout the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane in place of the plain white paper mats.
Radio Lollipop locations throughout Australia who are unable to use the meal tray mats on the meal trays will soon be using them as activity sheets to leave with the children after they have finished participating in the Radio Lollipop program. The Radio Lollipop meal tray and activity sheets were designed specifically for Radio Lollipop by Graphic Designer Joanne Weymouth, daughter-in-law of Radio Lollipop Mater volunteer Pamela Weymouth.
The Radio Lollipop meal tray mats and activity sheets consistent of word game, maze, find a word, sudoku, O’s and X’s and a spot the difference. The mats have been a huge hit with the children and Joanne took time out recently to visit Radio Lollipop Mater and see the meal tray mats in action.
