Radio Lollipop Newcastle took part in the annual Fleming Children’s Trust Garden Fete at Newcastle RVI and a great time was had by all!

A tombola, CD giveaway and musical entertainment provided by Radio Lollipop helped to contribute to a healthy fundraising total on the day. Barclay’s bank have provided a pound-for-pound match which doubles the total raised on the day. Radio Lollipop have been promised some of the money to help pay for a fresh computer system in time for our launch on Patientline.

There were stalls from all of the children’s wards including ward two’s “Chocolatey Love Island” and Ward 16’s “Guess the height of the giant Scooby Doo” competition. Special mention must go to the community nurses who made a big effort on the day and won the best dressed stall award.

Thanks to all of the ward staff and patients who took part on the day and to all of the visitors who generously put their hands in their pockets to support the Fleming Childrens Trust and Radio Lollipop!
