The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain adopted Radio Lollipop as their official charity for their tour of Australia and New Zealand in February 2013. They kicked off their tour entertaining the Australian crowds, then last weekend wowed the Kiwis with three shows in Auckland raising over $3000, then in Christchurch, supporting us to raise a further $1900 – making a grand total of $5115 in donations to Radio Lollipop!

Our volunteers handed out brochures and collected donations at each venue. Monies raised will support the ongoing development of Radio Lollipop, with fundraising beginning in earnest in Canterbury for our first station in the South Island, at Christchurch Hospital.

Our most grateful thanks go to the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain who helped raise funds, and for spreading the word about our important cause in Australia and New Zealand – many thanks.
