Radio Lollipop Ball Raises over £20K!

The 2015 Radio Lollipop Ball has raised a grand total of of £20,500!

The annual event was held on Friday 2nd October at the Roxburghe Hotel. It included a prize draw, silent auction and main auction which raised the money to be used in the ongoing delivery of the Radio Lollipop service at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.  All of the guests at this year’s fundraising ball got into the Hawaiian theme complete with flower garlands and a limbo game! The venue was decorated with tiki totem poles including specially designed masks by the children at the Sick Kids.

Our sincere thanks go to all involved especially our corporate supporters: Thomson Gray; LEWIS Creative Consultants; Forbo Flooring Systems; Digital Print Solutions (Scotland) Limited; Brian A Reid Photography; and Edinburgh Computer Services.

Gold Coast and Brisbane runners raise over $4000 in the recent marathon

It wasn’t for the glory and it certainly wasn’t to break record time; Gold Coast and Brisbane volunteers joined together to conquer the 5.7km walk in the Gold Coast Airport Marathon, raising funds and awareness for Radio Lollipop along the way.

The team were hard to miss when they hit the tracks donned in colourful tutus, bubble wands and sparkling foil balloons. They certainly made a huge impact; fellow runners photographed selfies with our daring group while onlooking crowds cheered and whistled from the sidelines.

With the volunteers taking to their social media pages, the team of 12 successfully raised a total of $4208.70.

The money will go towards prizes, craft essentials and games to ensure Radio Lollipop continues to deliver the best bedside service to sick children in hospital.
