Radio Lollipop Gold Coast benefits from Ramsden Lawyer Race Day

Radio Lollipop Gold Coast were again the lucky beneficiary of the Ramsden Lawyer’s massive charity race day, held earlier this year at the Gold Coast Turf Club.

It was certainly an exciting sight for all who attended, with big hitters bidding against each other to win prized items while also raising much-needed funds for the local charity.

The Gold Coast law firm successfully raised $8,436 through donations and auctioning prize items to key players who attended the event.

Lollipop volunteers were also keen to help, assisting in selling raffle tickets and rallying support for their charity.

Thanks to the generosity of all involved, Radio Lollipop volunteers have more to give on the wards, especially for the sick children who miss out on a Christmas at home.

Special thanks goes to Stephanie Murray and Ben Twomey for their dedication in organising the charity race day and continuing to consider Radio Lollipop!

 

Kirkintilloch Male Voice Choir, THANK YOU!

A massive thank you to everyone at the Kirkintolloch Male Voice Choir for inviting us to their Charity Evening and presenting us with a fantastic £1800 cheque.

The Charity Concert at St Mary’s on Thursday 30th November incorporates the 6th Primary Schools Choral Festival. Schools compete for the Blincow Shield sponsored by Jakemans Confectionary. Well done to all those involved, it was great evening with great talent.

Gold Coast and Brisbane runners raise over $4000 in the recent marathon

It wasn’t for the glory and it certainly wasn’t to break record time; Gold Coast and Brisbane volunteers joined together to conquer the 5.7km walk in the Gold Coast Airport Marathon, raising funds and awareness for Radio Lollipop along the way.

The team were hard to miss when they hit the tracks donned in colourful tutus, bubble wands and sparkling foil balloons. They certainly made a huge impact; fellow runners photographed selfies with our daring group while onlooking crowds cheered and whistled from the sidelines.

With the volunteers taking to their social media pages, the team of 12 successfully raised a total of $4208.70.

The money will go towards prizes, craft essentials and games to ensure Radio Lollipop continues to deliver the best bedside service to sick children in hospital.

West Coats Primary raise an amazing £1,000

At Radio Lollipop Glasgow we love to share good news!

We recently received a fantastic donation from our friends at West Coats Primary in Cambuslang, Glasgow. We cannot thank you enough for your fundraising efforts and support, this money will go towards ensuring we can provide our invaluable service to the children of the new hospital.

Our Chairman, Andy Gray, was absolutely delighted to be presented with this cheque at the school. Pictured below is Andy Gray and the amazing fundraisers from West Coats.
