Celebrating 30 Years of Radio Lollipop in Edinburgh with the 80s Ball

The Radio Lollipop 80’s Ball raised a fantastic £13,700 for the charity, which is celebrating 30 years in Edinburgh this year. The 1980s themed event took place on Friday 4th October at the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel.

The event received corporate support from Thomson Gray, Forbo Flooring and Will Rudd Davidson. Compere for the night was Scott Wilson, and musical entertainment was provided by the 1980s tribute band the Musical Tones.

Thank you to everyone involved with the night, you made it such a success!

This year marks Radio Lollipop’s 30th anniversary in Edinburgh!

To celebrate this momentous occasion we are holding numerous fundraising events throughout the year, including our 12th Annual Ball.

Funraiser #1: Swish Event

Sunday 24th March

2-5pm at the Grosvenor Hotel.

Tickets £10

At our Posh Clothes Swap, Ladies (or Gents) bring three never worn/tags still on, or barely worn clothes, shoes and accessories and swap what they don’t wear for something they will wear.

Style Me Flawless will be in attendance to give style tips and advice on the right shapes and colours for you.

Funraiser #2: 5K Moveathon

Saturday 1st June

Cramond – Starting orders at 4pm

Registration £5 per person

We are returning to Cramond to run/walk/skip/cycle 5k to raise awareness of Radio Lollipop in Edinburgh.

Funraiser #3: 2019 Ball

Friday 4th October

We return for our 12th ball, and with us celebrating our 30th year in Edinburgh and Radio Lollipop’s 40th year as a charity, it should be a night to remember.

Radio Lollipop Edinburgh turns 28!

Saturday 3rd June 2017 saw Radio Lollipop Edinburgh celebrate their 28th birthday at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

Throughout the week we asked the children on the wards to create special birthday cards for us. The Thrilling Thursday team approached the nursing staff from ward 6 to kindly assist us in judging the many entries we received!

One of our winners was Zac from Ward 6 who was excited to show off his prize along with the brilliant card he designed!
